Valencia Basket turns 40
40th Anniversary
On this day 40 years ago—July 15, 1986—Valencia Basket Club was born. The journey has taken the team from the La Canaleta facility in Mislata during its inaugural year to the new Roig Arena, spanning 38 years at La Fonteta and a brief stint in Llíria while La Fonteta underwent renovations.
It is a journey that began with white as the signature color of the primary kit for 14 seasons, shifting to orange from the year 2000 onwards. It started as a men's club but evolved into a global organization in 2014, uniting men's and women's basketball alongside youth development programs and a 3x3 project. These initiatives later flourished thanks to the continent's largest basketball youth facility—L’Alqueria del Basket—which opened its doors in 2017.
The club honors and recounts this history in detail every year on this very website; you can view it at the following link:

This season, Valencia Basket’s visual identity and narrative themes will center on the club's 40th anniversary. This is already evident in the season ticket campaign and the special logo the team will wear as its crest throughout the current season.
Happy 40th anniversary, Taronja Family.
